Hem means “Ice” and Kund means “Bowl”. Hemkund Sahib is the famous Gurudwara in the Chamoli District of Uttarakhand in India. It is devoted to the tenth Sikh Guru named as Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Each year thousands of devotees come here to take holy dip in HemKund. It is a lake surrounded by seven mountain peaks at the height of around 4632 meters from the sea level. It closes down in the winter season due to snowbound path.

Short Itinerary
Day 1: Rishikesh to Joshimath (254kms 8 Hours Drive approx) – Night Stay Joshimath
Day 2: Joshimath to Ghangharia (20kms Drive and 14kms Trek) – Night Stay Ghangharia
Day 3: Day Trip To Hemkund Shahib Ghangaria – Hemkund Sahib – Ghangaria (5.5 kms/5 hours each side) – Night Stay Ghangaria
Day 4: Ghangaria – Govindghat/Joshimath/Rudraprayag(135kms Drive and 14kms Trek) – Night Stay Rudraprayag
Day 5: Rudraprayag – Devprayag – Rishikesh (142 kms/4.5 Hours Drive approx) – Tour End
Morning visit Rishikesh Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara, start our drive to Joshimath (via Devprayag, Rudraprayag Karanprayag and Nandprayag) in vehicle. Breakfast and lunch on the way. Reach Joshimath and evening free to relax. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel at Joshimath.
Post early breakfast, Govindghat (a small hamlet situated on the confluence of Alaknanda and roaring Laxman Ganga and start point for the fully escorted treak). Govind Ghat to Ghangaria (base village for Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib) is a beautiful trek route with magnificent views and river accompanying you throughout. Hot lunch on the trek route. In the late afternoon, arrive at Ghangaria on the banks of Laxman Ganga. Dinner and overnight stay in Ghangaria.
Post breakfast today we start our fully escorted trek to Hemkund - internationally acclaimed, one of the finest high latitude lakes in Uttarakhand Himalayas. It is also a place of worship for Sikhs and Hindus. It’s an uphill trek to reach Hemkund. See the crystal clear lake with astonishing views of surrounding peaks, visit Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara and Lakshman Temple on the banks of the lake. Return to Ghangaria the evening for dinner and overnight stay in Ghangaria.
Post breakfast today we start our fully escorted trek to Govindghat. Drive To Joshimath or Rudraprayag. Dinner & Overnight stay in Rudraprayag.
Morning drive to Dehradun Airport or Rishikesh Railway station, enroute visit Rishikesh Local Sight Seeing (Ram Jhulla, Laxman Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Parmarth Niketan, Shivananda Ashram & Gita Kutir).
